Over the past few weeks, we have begun to onboard community members to our Intent OS for DeFi built on Base allowing you to streamline on-chain portfolio management and add a social layer to DeFi!
Revamped Marketplace
The new Velvet Capital App on Base features a revamped Marketplace where you can invest alongside crypto natives, KOLs, and fund managers from around the crypto space.

There are also now two main use cases on the app, a Smart Wallet and a Vault.
Smart Wallet: Create a smart wallet and manage your own personal portfolio. Use our intent-based trade execution to swap any token (one-to-one and many-to-many) and don’t get front-run. On the app, you can use multiple DeFi protocols within your strategy to generate additional yield and seamlessly hop between them in a single click. This use case is ideal for crypto-native or crypto-curious users who want to be in control.
Whitelisted or Open Vault: Create a vault and bring your community to join your vault. With a vault, you can either allow only whitelisted wallets to deposit or open it up to everyone. Your followers will get the same execution price as you and make DeFi social. This use case is ideal for public traders, private trading groups, investment DAOs, and KOLs/influencers who want to nurture their community and build an on-chain build track record.
To launch a public vault on the App, you’ll need a Founder’s Club NFT.
We also redesigned the Vault page, making a more sleek design and intuitive interface, and have a Metrics section coming soon where you’ll be able to see more details on the history of the Vault such as max drawdown, Sharpe ratio, performance monthly, whitelisted assets, and trading history.
New Modular and Simplistic Vault Creation Process
We also redesigned the vault creation module, so now you can have a streamlined process and only sign the transaction at the end. From start to finish, creating your vault should not take more than a few minutes with the estimated cost being a few cents on Base!
