June was one of the biggest months yet for Velvet.
We announced training for Velvet-1, our first flagship AI model built for onchain intelligence, launched new infrastructure for autonomous 24/7 AI strategies, brought cross-chain trading live, and expanded access to global and pre-IPO markets.

June marked one of the biggest steps yet in Velvet’s AI journey.
Introducing Velvet-1: AI for Onchain Intelligence
We announced that training has begun for Velvet-1, our first flagship LLM built specifically for onchain intelligence.
Onchain data isn’t just text. It’s a massive, constantly changing graph of wallets, smart contracts, protocols, assets, markets, and social signals.
General-purpose models can reason about crypto and markets in isolation, but they struggle to understand the full context of these dynamic systems. Velvet-1 is being built to address this.
The model is being trained on large-scale, continuously indexed datasets spanning:
Full onchain activity across major networks, including transactions, smart contract events, state changes, and mempool signals
Hyperliquid market data, including orderbooks, funding rates, liquidations, trader positioning, and flow dynamics
Social and behavioral signals, including onchain and offchain graphs, wallet clustering, and profile embeddings
Velvet-1 is our first step toward AI built by design for onchain intelligence.

We launched the Velvet Unicorn Portal, giving traders, developers, and AI agents direct access to the infrastructure powering our agentic trading ecosystem.
The portal introduces:

Velvet AI Gets Smarter
Our on-site agent now understands context across conversations.
Instead of repeatedly specifying the token, chain, and amount, users can now simply ask:

The agent remembers what you’re talking about, making it faster and more natural to move from discovery to research to execution.
We also completely rebuilt our AI content engine on X, which now delivers morning news digests, market recaps, token signals, and transparent performance updates based on fresh onchain and social data.

You can now install Velvet X directly on your mobile home screen on both iOS and Android.
Simply log into Velvet X, open your browser’s sharing or menu options, and select Add to Home Screen.

Cross-Chain Trading Goes Live
Users can now buy a token on one chain while paying with assets from another.
Velvet supports cross-chain trading between EVM networks and Solana, with gasless bridging happening behind the scenes. We also added support for Arbitrum.

Major Perps Upgrade
We significantly upgraded the Perps trading experience across desktop and mobile with:

Sweep Mode Comes to Trenches
We launched Sweep Mode, allowing users to bulk-buy an entire column of newly launched tokens with a single click.
Mobile users can also swipe to buy or sell, making it even faster to act on new opportunities.
AI Analysis and Trader Tools
AI analysis is now available with one click across Explore, Trenches, Positions, Watchlists, and token pages.
We also upgraded trader tracking with:
Social handles on trader profiles
Watchlist import/export for up to 2,000 wallets
Compatibility with other terminal watchlists
Top Traders leaderboard expanded to 200 traders
Chart markers for KOLs, followed traders, your own trades, and dev activity
Faster, Safer Trading
We shipped approximately 160 reliability improvements across Velvet, including faster page loads, improved wallet stability, fixes for stuck and duplicate orders, better portfolio PnL accuracy, live gas fees, and automatic filtering of scam and honeypot tokens.
Community & Ecosystem Updates
Trade Global Markets with TradeXYZ
We integrated TradeXYZ, expanding Velvet beyond crypto and giving users access to global equities, commodities, indices, and forex markets.
We also brought exposure to some of the world’s most anticipated private companies to Velvet, including:

Users can now access crypto, Perps, global markets, and pre-IPO opportunities from the same ecosystem.
Expanding $VELVET Liquidity
We fully migrated Velvet’s protocol-owned liquidity on Base to Aerodrome, strengthening the token’s liquidity infrastructure within the Base ecosystem.
SushiSwap API Integration
We integrated SushiSwap’s API to expand liquidity access and improve trade routing across Ethereum, BNB Chain, and Base.
Community & Livestreams
Velvet Co-Founder and CEO DeFiVas and Chief Degen Officer Degen Mike joined the MCG Live Show to showcase Velvet X and Velvet Unicorn.
Degen Mike also hosted multiple livestreams (Hyperliquid, Comet, Quigley, jcrew, Darren) with top trenchers and builders, using Velvet X to identify opportunities and find multiple runners live on air.
mSTRAT memecoin treasury launched on Velvet.
We also launched the $XRPS Trading Competition on Solana and continued our weekly community Spaces every Monday at 7PM UTC.
